Memorial Day and Independence Day
Deep Ellum Community Art Fair takes center stage for three days (May 27-29) of art, live music, spoken word, and delicious street food.
Kick off the holiday weekend on July 1st at the Independence Day Celebration at Clyde Warren Park, where you can grab a spot in the shade in the late afternoon after the midday heat has faded. From 7-10 pm, food trucks set up along the park, and the atmosphere is fun for everyone in the family, with games, patriotic music, local vendors, and fireworks to cap off the evening.
July 4th, look no further than the Star-Spangled Spectacular performance by the esteemed Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
Two Venues Within a Couple Miles, With Shows All Summer Long
The PNC Patio Sessions occur every Thursday night in the downtown arts district at Sammons Park, part of the AT&T Performing Arts Center. The free shows begin at 5:30 pm, and their lineup has everything from Latin-American cumbia (Papi Chulo on May 11th) to soul and jazz (Taylor Pace on June 1st). Check their monthly calendar to RSVP for free tickets online.
