Deep Ellum Brewing

2823 St. Louis St. Dallas, TX 75226
Located in Deep Ellum, this brewery’s “disdain for the status quo” is a motto that perfectly embodies the artistic, musical, and edgier side of this famous district’s history. They take pride in their unique brew selection and contribute to the neighborhood’s vibrant culture, hosting live music and special events in their beer garden. Come on a Saturday when you can take a $20 brewery tour, where you’ll learn about their brewing methods; the tour also includes three beers of your choice, live music, and a custom pint glass to take home.

Westlake Brewing Company

Located just a few blocks away on one of the main strips in Deep Ellum, Westlake Brewing Company has a diverse ten beers on tap and a food menu featuring flatbread pizzas and shareable plates, like pretzel bites and wings, to accompany your pint of pineapple sour or hazy IPA. If you’re a fan of classic British-style dark pub beers, try their Peter’s Porter, made with authentic UK malts and a gold medal winner at the renowned GABF in 2021. Founder Art Harvey, a dedicated runner, was inspired to start the brewery on a group run, and beer names like “Finish Line” and “Fast-n-Light” speak to their passion for running. Join one of their weekly group runs, where you can reward yourself with a post-run IPA while mingling with other runners, with the excitement of Deep Ellum buzzing all around.
